This month’s Sketch-Meet will be at Allard Hall (11110 104 Ave NW) on the MacEwan University campus on Saturday, April 20th, 11 am- 1pm.
This month we’re off to the arts building at the MacEwan University Campus. The main gathering space is bright, colourful and filled with modern architecture, installations and artwork on four levels. It, also, has a crazy staircase system that could be inspired by the Harry Potter books! The Mitchell Art Gallery is located on the main level for anyone who wants to see what’s on currently in their space. If weather permits sketching the exterior of the building, with its piano key inspired stripes, is an option as well. Let’s meet on the main level, inside, under the giant wooden sculpture that looks like an upside-down house shape, at 11am, and then again at the end, at 1 pm, for a throw down and photos.
For our social gathering we will be heading next door to Tutti Frutti (11304 104 Ave) in the complex by the Safeway for lunch or snacks.
