Government House Library

I was at a meeting at Government House last week that got out at 4:30 so rather than fight with rush hour traffic, I sat in the quiet, elegant Gov House Library and sketched this arm chair that is in front of the fireplace. Watercolour added later.

Charming sketch Marlena! I thought you came up with a clever composition here with both depth and lots of visual/historical interest. This sketch manages to create warmth, sense of age and even texture and all with line and muted cool colours!

Reminder: My solo show at the Misericordia Hospital “Garden Cafe” opens to the public Friday October 25.

Hope to see you at The November Sketch Crawl. Vince

    • Thanks Vince – I appreciate your thoughtful comments.
We should grab you and a few of the sketchers and go to see your exhibit! Maybe we can plan an outing to the Mis at the Nov sketch-out.
